Interview with castly and Sarah


JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
castly: Yes, we were allowed contacts at various times depending on the type of contact being made. All phone rights were given as a part of good behavior. Only if a close family member needed to contact a in mate were the contact provisions changed.
Sarah: yes but you have to call collect and that will be expensive for the people you love

JM: What types of charges applied for calling people?
castly: I do not know, as the phone charges were handled by my family, for the most part. I do know that on several occasions, I was asked by my contacts to refrain on calling as the call did cost sevral dollas per call.
Sarah: its like double the cost of a regular collect phone call

JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
castly: No, all of my call were charged by my family.
Sarah: you cant

JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
castly: Yes, every call was screened and most were not allowed unless there was a person listening in on the conversations.
Sarah: they say they do
